- NEW! - Amigurumi Guide: Little Lamb (pattern compilation)

Meet my newest little animal!
She's a sheep (with no name ☹ - maybe someone can adopt her and name her? 😉)
She will be headed to the shop soon!

I'm making another pattern link compilation post to explain how I made her.
I have used the same base for most of my animals (except the Giraffe and Pikachu that I mentioned in previous posts).

I start off each leg with black.
I stop on ROUND 4.
On ROUND 5 I start the tan color and finish the leg.

When I join the legs (ROUND 10) I use white yarn and sc around.
Starting from ROUND 11 to ROUND 30 in the pattern, I do the LOOP STITCH. (the link takes you to the YouTube tutorial I used)

IMPORTANT:

1. When you do the loop stitch, the loop will naturally want to go to the back of your work (which is the INSIDE of the Amigurumi/Sheep).
You will want to pull the loop to the front, hold it in place, complete the stitch, insert your hook into the next space to keep the loop in place and continue on.

2. When you DECREASE (ROUND 26 - 30) you will do TWO LOOPS for ONE DECREASE.
You will insert your hook, do one loop. Hold the loop to the front, insert your hook into the next stitch, do your 2nd loop, pull loop forward and complete the decrease by going throuh all of the loops on your hook. This helps with bald spots that you would otherwise get if you only did one loop in your decrease.

Face piece: (I had to make it up myself) (US terms)

*Ch - Chain
*SC - Single Crochet
*St - stitch
*Dec - Single Crochet Decrease
*Slst - slip stitch

G Hook (same as the base pattern)

1.) Ch 14. SC across 13 (13)
2.) Ch 1. Turn. 2 SC in next st, SC across 11, 2 SC in last st (15)
3.) Ch 1. Turn. 2 SC in next st, SC across 13, 2 SC in last st (17)
4 - 5. ) Ch 1. Turn. SC across (17)
6.) Ch 1. Turn. Dec, SC across 13, Dec (15)
7.) Ch 1. Turn. Dec, SC across 11, Dec (13)
8.) Ch 1. Turn. Dec, SC across 9, Dec (11)
9.) Ch 1. Turn. SC across (11)
10.) Ch 1. Turn. Dec, SC across 7, Dec (9)
11.) Ch 1. Turn. Dec, SC across 5, Dec (7)
12.) Ch 1. Turn. Dec, SC across 3, Dec (5)
13.) Ch 1 and SC around the entire piece. When you get back to the top row (Row 12) you will slst into the first stitch. I SC around roughly 35 stitches.

For the flower:
Magic circle. 5 sc in circle. Join.
Petals- Ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2 and slst in each sc for 5 petals.

ENJOY! I hope this was a helpful guide to making a sheep.

Amigurumi Guide: Emi the Brown Cow (pattern compilation)

Emi the Brown Cow
My daughter, Emi, named this cow today and I decided to go with it. 🐮😍

A long while back I made a giraffe in this style. Not long after that I made my daughter a Pikachu in this style as well.

Recently I have fallen back in love with this style of amigurumi. I find them to work up faster than most stuffed animal projects. Plus they are super cute. Win win.

Back when I made the giraffe I created a blog post to round up all of the patterns I mashed together to create it. Basically what I do is > If I need an ear, I'll search Pinterest and find a pattern I like.

Today I'm going to create a rough "Guide" for this cow. I made one other cow and the only differences are the colors used, spots and the flowers used.

I will share both with you.

Starting with Emi >
Base Pattern is by Alyssa (@heart_2_stitch) here:
FREE PATTERN ~ Bear Plush – Heart2Stitch (wordpress.com)
NOTE* When I made the legs I stopped at ROUND 4 on each leg before changing colors.
Brown was started on ROUND 5 and continued for the rest of the project.

Ears: http://www.repeatcrafterme.com/2013/10/crochet-giraffe-hat-pattern.html

Horns: http://www.repeatcrafterme.com/2013/10/crochet-cow-hat-pattern.html

Flowers:
Magic circle. 5 sc in circle. Join. (dark brown)
Petals- Ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2 and slst in each sc for 5 petals. (golden)

Snout:
g hook

ch 7
sc in 2nd chain from hook. sc in next 4. 3 sc in last.
on other side:
sc next 4. 2 sc in last st (14)

2 sc in 1st st. sc next 4. 2 sc in next 3 st. sc next 4. 2 sc in last 2 st (20)

2 sc in 1st, sc next 6 st, 2 sc in next 3 st. sc next 8 st. 2 sc in last 2 st. (26)

join and fasten off

Nostrils:
D hook (black yarn)
Magic circle, sc 4, join and fasten off.

Used 15mm safety eyes.
I feel the yarn equivalent would be:
G hook
Magic circle, sc 4, join and fasten off

For this version I did the same for the base & legs (only I used white for the rest of the project).
I followed the same horn, ear, nostril and snout pattern.
The flower pattern is in the Base Pattern link.
I made 3 spots for my cow.
(One is on the back, not pictured. You can somewhat see the 2 on the sides)

15mm safety eyes for both projects.

**Update 02/18/2020: These 2 are up for grabs in my Etsy shop!

It's been a while..

HEY EVERYONE~!

Sometime last Summer I decided to close my Etsy shop. I was bummed about it, but it gave me some time to think things over. A few months later, at the end of the year, I decided to open a shop again!

I'm about to do a Shop Update, the animals you see above are what will end up in the shop soon!
If you want to see what I have there already (I do have some listings up!) the link is also at the top of the page under the tab Etsy Shop!

I've been working on these animals non-stop lately. I have SO MANY ideas! I have several more animals to come. I'm currently working on a floofy sheep! 🐑

Do you notice a familiar face?

Emma the Giraffe! She's featured on my blog. I wrote a post with links to the patterns that I used to create her.

I did the same sort of thing with the other animals.

For all of the others I used this pattern by Alyssa @heart_2_stitch  for the base of the animals:
https://comicallycreative.wordpress.com/2018/07/26/free-pattern-teddy-bear-plushie/

I am going to do my best to create a sort of "Guide" for each animal.
These patterns are not my own and I will be linking you directly to the source where I got the patterns that I used.

I will also be adding in some notes if I added anything extra - for example color changes on the cows hooves. I will let you know where I decided to stop and change colors.

If you have any questions please let me know and I will do my best to help!
